Introduction

Problem

Georgia Tech’s Computer Science department has been expanding rapidly over the recent years, creating a need for a “virtual” information center with the purpose of giving insight on coursework, thread curriculums, student organizations and events. Although the College of Computing provides several mediums for the distribution of essential information, many students find themselves overwhelmed in searching and assimilating information of interest. As such, a multitude of students miss out on opportunities and crucial information that may heavily impact their undergraduate career choices.

Solution

As part of our LMC 3403 project, we decided to implement an information hub — with the purpose of promoting awareness and helping students make informed decisions by unifying information provided by the College of Computing. In addition, this information hub will also provide personal insight based on student experience in regards to different aspects of a computer science undergraduate degree.
